Vegan “Candy Cookies” in a jar

16 Dec

hey everyone, sorry i been MIA. long story short (i always say that and still make my stories super long anyone else?! lol) but my gpa fell 2 days before thanksgiving he and hes in a rehab center now getting out next wk but i been going there 3x a week atleast and they live in nassua county which is a 45 min drive so its alot but then yesterday my gma decided to take a spill and cracked her head open shes okay though and home but i slept at her house this weekend because i didnt want to leave her alone and i baby my family so thats why i havent been on here !

But anyways, I had a christmas party today and made these for 2 of my friends.. they have kids that always ask for the “candy cookies” when im coming over so i put this together as  just a little something.. its vegan depending on the kind of candy you use.

Vegan “Candy Cookies”

3/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 cup chopped nuts (i used pecans)

3/4 cup sugar

1 cup chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped candy (i used peanut M&M)

3/4 cup oatmeal

In that order starting with the flour layer in a 1 quart mason jar, or half it and put it in a 16oz jar then on the tag have: Preheat oven at 350 and in a bowl add 3/4 tsp of vanilla, an egg (or flax/ener-g egg) and 3/4 butter to the jar contents.  Mix well.  Bake for 10-12 minutes and allow to cool for 5 minutes before taking them off the pan.
