WIAW- It’s getting hot in here

Happy Wednesday!

Sorry I am MIA again, just been busy and too nice out to even sit on the computer in no AC. I am not complaining about the weather though.  Not that I need to be out in the sun with this hot sunburn I have been sporting.  It actually is all peeled and spotty now on my chest and shoulders so I look just weird.  Oh well. 

Monday is my weekly run day, this was suppose to be a 10k which I didn’t know was shortened until I was getting ready to speed up at 5 mile mark when I turned the corner and that happened to be the finish line.  So that wasn’t my best time of 51 minutes but for running in 91 degree weather up hills of dirt, i’ll take it!

Onto food, it’s been the same old over here. thank you Jenn for hosting!

Breakfast

Woke up early and sweating to death that I had no appetite.  So I ate about a half a cantaloupe and quarter of tasteless watermelon I cut up the day before.

Lunch

After the gym I  was going to head to the beach for a couple hours with my cousin.    Before we headed out I made a quick tuna scramble(?)which is just 2 egg whites and can of tuna with some garlic, topped with ketchup.  Some green beans on the side.

Beach, beer, and The Hunger Games. Finished the first one in a day and onto the second, I am obsessed <3.

Snack

Once I got home I just snacked on more fruit, plus an unpictured peach.

Dinner

 I just had some grilled asparagus (x3) and grilled corn, with 3 hard boiled eggs on the side (2 whole, 1 egg white) .  I need to make some more veggie burgers to have waiting in the freezer for days like today!

What makes me happy: Winning Tim McGraw tickets for Sundays concert. wooooooo!  I wish I recorded myself on the radio, you would’ve thought I won a million dollars with how I was hyperventilating hahah. #sorryimnotsorry

Do you seem to lose your appetite more on those really hot days?

WIAW- Back at it

I hope every ones week is going good so far.  I have had such a quiet week and loved it!  Monday I had my first run of the Summer Run Series.  Basically every Monday night at a different state park there’s a run whether it be a 5k, 10k, or like this past one a 5 miler.  I run early in the morning before it’s hot out, so running at 7pm when the sun is still out was killer.  I ran a 46:07 run which I was pleased with.  It’s just fun to be around a bunch of people who really enjoy running.

Speaking of boys, I kind of left you hanging just saying we broke up.  I am more then fine, he was just not the guy for me.  We dated for 2 months and went to 16, yes 16 movies.  I hate the movies.  He obviously loved that which is fine but he never wanted to do anything outdoorsy or adventure kind of things that I like.  Plus I could not see a damn movie once more, ain’t nobody got time for that.  Thank you all for caring though!

Onto food, thank you jenn for hosting!  After my last weeks meltdown I am back at it, alcohol and all.  Feeling back to myself, just had a minor speedbump!

Breakfast 7:00am

Now that I am running outside again and not at the gym I been back to running on an empty stomach.  Once I get home I stuff my face then change and go to the gym.  I had my usual sweet potato, kale, and eggs with nutritional yeast.

Snack 1045ish

I went to the beach, alone. I wanted to do some reading and wanted no interruptions lol.  I am reading At First Sight by Nicholas Sparks.  Good so far!

Before I left though I had a green smoothie.  Pineapple, an orange, banana, kale, protein powder, and coconut oil.  Hit the spot.

Lunch 2pm

I felt myself starting to burn at the beach so I headed home and made a salad (lettuce from the garden, woohoo finally I am to poor to be paying for it lol) which blackbeans, tomatoes, a can of tuna, hummus and some balsamic.

Obviously a very photogenic meal.

Dinner 6:00pm

I cooked up some quinoa because I meant to make quinoa muffins but forgot too, sigh.  So I used some of that and threw some frozen shrimp, sauteed spinach and onions, and soy sauce.  Easyy and filling.

Snack 7:00pm

While I was getting ready to go out, and by that I mean get in my pjs and go to my friends house to watch girl code, I ate some chocolate pb banana soft serve of coarse!

WIAW: Mad Eggs

Oh my WIAW was my favorite days, and I haven’t posted in months! I still take tons of pictures of my food though, I scare people I am with once my flash goes off at a place.  Or the other day, we went to this place smokey bones me and the BF and my phone died, so I asked him to take a pic of my meal for me haha. Gradually showing him my crazy side slowly but surely.

Breakfast

Def hasn’t changed up, it’s actually a meal I have for breakfast and lunch multiple times a week.  I usually post a pretty before picture of before I start mixing this is what I eat it as though.

Lunch

I didn’t feel like cooking really, so an egg sandwich is was.  Eggs over easy with spinach and ketchup on ezkiel.  I also had an unpictured green smoothie a couple hours later.

Dinner

Got fancy and made a salad with whatever I had.  Black eyed peas, sure enough an egg (i need to calm down with my egg consumption) hummus, salsa, refried beans, nutritional yeast, corn, over greens.  Hit the spot.Image

Snack

No eggs.  Made some peanut butter, mmmmmm. It’s the best when I am licking it off the blender spoon and it’s still warm.Image

I am off to the gym to do some chest/tri and hopefully a 10k run.  My summer run series that starts in 2 wks, most of them are 5ks so I been just doing that til I saw the first ones a 10k and second a 6 miler. OPPS!

What Makes Me Happy: Finally suppose to have 3 consecutive days of sunshine and warm weather the end of this week!  It has been raining, cloudy and windy since last week.  No bueno!  I need me some nice weather for outdoor bars and wineries 😉

WIAW In the Sun

Hello Everyone, I can’t get enough of this gorgeous weather.  After this I am going to go for a quick run outside then go to the gym for chest/abs..Yesterday was legs and I didn’t finish them because I got so hot there doing them and was getting nausea.  I already get a stomach ache doing legs but sweating like a pig on top of it killed me.  Does anyone else get a stomach ache during legs?!

Onto Wednesday, so glad this week is flying!  Thanks for Jenn for hosting!

Breakfast

I woke up at 5 and could already tell it was going to be one of those mornings that I don’t get satisfied by anything I eat.  So instead of switching it up today like I have been with Meghan’s challenge, I went with my usual 2 eggs, sweet potato and kale sauteed in coconut oil with nutritional yeast.

I also had my DD, butter pecan. ❤

Lunch

I had to pack something easy to eat because I wasn’t stopping home in between my class because I had to go to the library.  I was not bringing tuna in the library. I get looks for my smoothies now being smelly too?! Not happening.

Celery&Carrots with hummus, green smoothie consisiting of strawberries, an orange, coconut milk, banana, protein powder, and spinach, and an apple.  I never ate the apple so once I came back from the gym I did with a scoop of protein powder with some almond milk and peanut butter, so goooood. (yes I used a measuring cup as my bowl)

Finally something new for the challenge.  I made a tempeh burger that was so good with some ketchup, corn and broccoli on the side.  Perfect meal for a gorgeous day!

Popcorn kick is back in full force. Then I had a cup of peanuts.

Wednesday- Spring Breaking it up

Half way through a week that I wish would slow downnn. Tomorrow is that time of the month and I have to starveeeee again.  I am pretty sure this is the last month i forgot but hopefully so yayyy!

On to food, nothing new but good as alwayssss! Thanks to Jenn for hosting!

Had the usual pumpkin oatmeal with an egg white, the best.  With some cawfeeeee on the side.

I then went to the gym for my leg workout.  I am sore today, loving it!

Sort of pathetic looking.  I ate all, well close to all the brussel sprouts before I took a picture sorrrry.  With half a can of refried beans and some hummus and salsa on top.  The best.

Dinner

Easy dinner.  I marinated some tofu then threw the tofu, cut up sweet potato and green beans in the oven and roasted it all up for about 40 minutes.

They were maple sweet potato fries to be exact, scary looking but uhhhmazing!

Cut up 2 sweet potatoes then toss with 2 tbs pure maple syrup and 2 tbs melted coconut oil (olive oil can be used) then bake on a cookie sheet 425 degrees for 15 minutes then turn over and cook another 20 minutes.

Peanutbutter with an apple.  That’s my cool measuring shot glass. I only use it for peanut butter because it’s my main set off for binges.  So I need portion control with it because I can easily eat the entire jar.

What makes me happy: I went to the store the other day because I needed new leggings and came across these hot numbers.  I must be so out of style because I don’t own either and the store was mainly filled with them.

What I ate Wednesday

Score for it being Wednesday!  Only one more day of classes til my Spring Break!  I for once am not going on vacation so I am excited to just relax!  Thank you Jenn for hosting!

Breakfast

I been feeling so crappy and taking shots of Nyquil at 8pm to get some good sleep.  Yet today woke up and it was one of those days I just had no appetite and had to force food down all day.  I tried to keep it simple though.  I started it with some savory oats.  So good.

Savory Oats

2 large leaves of kale (about 2 cups)
coconut oil
1/2 cup oats
1.5 cups water
1.5 tbs nutritional yeast
1 egg
1 egg white

In a pan melt enough coconut oil to cover the pan then place the washed and torn up kale in it and cover the pan.  Let it steam for about 5 minutes (keep checking that it doesn’t burn and stick to the pan.  Add some water to prevent this).  Once down place the kale in a bowl.  Now place oats in a pot with water and cook according to directions.  Stir in the nutritional yeast then place cooked oats on the kale.  While that’s cooking cook an egg and egg white and place on the oats once cooked.  Enjoy!

Lunch

I bought to green smoothies and was planning to just stop home for lunch.  Instead I skipped my 2nd class because I felt so crap, yet went out to lunch with my friend instead.  I just got a salad with a massive amount of hummus and grape leaves, the best!

I made it to the gym after lunch though for a quick back/bicep workout.  Afterwards I had another ugly banana protein muffin.

I was not in the mood for ANYTHING.  I just wanted to sleep.  Nothing sounded appetizing but I know I had to shove something down.  So more oatmeal it was.  This time I mixed in a scoop of chocolate protein powder and 2 tbs of almond butter.  Simple and yummmmy.

No snack for me at night, NyQuil was chugged and I past out. 

What makes me happy: sleep, which I am going to get more of right now.

What is your least favorite body part of workout?

Anyone have some secret remedies for treating a cold?! I have a whole lot of nothing to do this vacation and don’t want to be sick for it all 😉

I totally deserve worst blogger award for being so in and out lately. I miss you guys! Hope you all had a good weekend, I had a good time at the parade (no dumb drunk kaity showed up) and then had a baby shower the next day so by sunday night i came home and past outtttt.

But I am popping in for a WIAW thanks to Jenn!

I went to the gym straight from school (post coming about that) and got in a good workout then came home and was starved. Since it was to early for dinner so i just whipped up an egg with some nutritional yeast, yum.

What makes me happy: Seeing I am growing the hell up. You guys all see I date a lot but I never get past 3 dates because I just don’t like the person enough to keep going, nor do I have the patience to pretend I like someone. In class yesterday we had to write down stuff we look for in a boy/girl and my list was the only one that didn’t have “muscles, tall, white teeth”. Obv I’m not saying I’d date some fugly loser lol but there is way more important thing then those. I enjoyed all the games and I was just as much of a game player as any guy. I finally come to see why I been single for 4 years, because I won’t settle. I use to just because it was the “hot guy” in school or something like that. Now the second a guy tries one little game or beats around the bush about something (such a pet peeve of mine) I literally just stop talking to them. So I was talking to 4 guys last week, then went on a deleting rampage and deleted everyone, literally every guy (besides my brothers ofcoarse) from my phone. Sorry had to vent ! lol Boys be crayyyyy.
